I have just returned home from 2 days babysitting my favourite 4 year old - the son of one of my classmates from my Dutch class. Cristina and I met on day one of the classes back in 1998 and have been friends ever since even though I am older than her mother. She and her husband have a delightful little boy called Alexander and they needed someone to look after him as his school was working on short days for two days due to teacher training.
Anyway, I digress. I am so happy to know that there is a rational explanation for your weight gain. It was always going to be difficult to do anything about it until you knew the cause. Here's hoping the medication works well (and that you do have that weight loss side effect LOL).

Well okay result! Two are still outstanding but the one that is back shows me with an under active thyroid - which would account for my weight gain, possibly also accounts for some of the CFS as well - still waiting to hear about cholesterol (could be up because that is a side effect of the under active thyroid) and diabetes - but the doc thinks I have nothing to worry about with that.
