CINDI - Re: [Vegetarianslimming] Nice quote
Not a question of beauty but of health. If someone is extremely overweight and dies of something weight-related that may be what is remembered.

PAM - Re: DRAGON - Re: [Vegetarianslimming] Ration book diet
Thank you for this Pam. I did come across at least one 'reform' book as I was browsing quickly through the site.
I am so sorry it has taken me almost a week to get back to you. I have no excuse really other that total and utter forgetfulness.
Cheers from Marie

Keep your eye out for mentions of "reform" cookery, an old term for
vegetarian.

Thank you for this Cindi, it is very well said. No matter how much emphasis society places on conformity to certain standard measures of beauty, we are all far more than what we look like.

Just ran across the following quote:
When we die, no one remembers us for what we weighed. Our weight isn't etched into our headstones.
-- Stephanie Klein, Moose, 2008
Great reminder for those of us who are overweight, including myself. Helps to remember my weight is not what makes me a good or bad person, it's part of the overall package. :-) A package which I do hope becomes smaller, but being ok with ourselves at every weight is actually very important.

[Vegetarianslimming] Re: WI
I remember when my healthy weight was 7 stone 5, but I don't suppose I'll ever get back there.
The WW leader will warn me if I get too thin. There's one of our Gold members who looks unhealthily thin to me, but that is between her and the leader.

Okay, I was worried that you were trying to go too low but if you are so petite then that is reasonable!

It's easier to think of it in mini-objectives, my next is 8 stone 10 1/2 as that will be 3 stones (my 6th Silver Seven in Weightwatchers' language).

Congratulations Lila. Well done on achieving a special milestone. Do you have a particular goal weight in mind or are you aiming to work towards getting to a weight which feels 'comfortable' for you?

Most of the talk is irrelevant to me, I don't do all that Christmassy stuff.
